2019 Summer Kick-off Party

On Sunday June 9th, we kicked off the summer in Graceada Park with a free public event co-hosted by Ryan’s Fund and the City of Modesto Parks, Recreation & Neighborhoods Department. This family-friendly event brought community members together to enjoy food, games, music, swimming and splashing in the park. There were also several water safety booths and the Stanislaus County Library hosted story time in the park!

Ryan Barber Memorial Pool & Splash Pad

On June 15th, 2018 we officially opened the pool and splash pad with a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony. We were able to thank all of the members of the community who played an important role in creating this space for kids to once again splash and play in Graceada Park. It was a great day to honor Baby Ryan!

The ILL-LIST

On December 9th, 2017 the Ryan Michael Barber Memorial Fund was honored to sponsor the runner-up prize for the ILL-LIST poetry slam.  This annual event attracts some of the country's most renown spoken-word artists to compete on stage at the State Theater in Modesto, CA.  To learn more about the event, check out the ILL-LIST Facebook page.  Congrats to this year's runner-up, Asia Bryant-Wilkerson!
